Whatever You Like
Depravity is mere perspective. Beauty is the form following function. Occam's Razor proves that simplicity is the essence of all. And all this quasi-philosophical attempts boils down to the infinitely much more significant realisation that I'm a pragmatic minimalist with a latent quixotic streak.Wow. My Ikebana dreams are withering away. ): SOMEONE! Sponsor me. / WHAT IS THIS!? Instructions for All RVians Did anyone get the notice too? The BIG walk is from JE to JP. Cheyyyy. Very near. >:D / B Tan has spoken. Year 6 THIMUN people supposed to do the THIMUN learning symposium. Would be funny of PUS and Law Attachment asks us to do a presentation too. Monday 04/01 2:00pm, at the library. And I'm not supposed to start school yet! Apparently dis aliter visum. / Ichigo makes me want to get PINK spectacles. The Jap fanart is brilliant. To the PINK Spectacles! / Whatever You Like Cover by Anya Marina is brilliant. T.I's is not bad either. Monday, December 28, 2009, 8:46 PM
Approaching the Prepice
Hacas meeting was productive. We have an excellent orientation line up if the sprouts agree to be sporting and participate. I adore the last event. X)The new RV is very, very, very Chinese. IDK, grapevine talk suggests that the new principal is as bilingual as I am. LOL! / Kendo places are friggin' hard to find. Why must they be so far away? There's one at NUS and NYP but you have to be a student there. The rest are held at The Japanese School 11 Upper Changi Road North Mixed: beginners and advanced Wednesday 7:30 - 9:00 PM Sunday Beginners: 9:00 - 10:30 AM Adults: 10:30 - 12:30 NINE. MORNING. CHANGI. *faints* The morning thing is not that bad compared to the $$$ required. Then there's registration fee of $10 and monthly fees of $30 per month for 6 months. Then your own shinaii that's about $50-100, uniform and depending on progress, armour which is $600<. NJD is way cheaper compared to this. Wushu~ Well, the school was supposed to subsidise it. :D Other than that the issues with $$$, I think it's a fairly nice new hobby. / Walked around Seiwaen in the afternoon before it gets infested with the creatures of the night. X( HAHA! Got drenched in the rain. :/ The stone lamps are brilliant. I like the squat winter ones. The bonsai garden in Chinese Garden has principals similar to Ikebana! / Coming back in about an hour's time... So long solitude. / Righto. 31/12/2009: Class outing. (LOL today @ P: 31 I remember I'm supposed to go somewhere. *tries extremely hard to remember* JK: You mean class outing? P: Riiiigghhht~) 01/01/2010: V and gang 02/01/2010: RUN AWAY! GAH! SCHOOL IS STARTING. ): I don't want this to end. Labels: hacas Saturday, December 26, 2009, 2:58 PM
I left my heart at Seiwaen
The weather, even in the supposedly cooler season, is way too hot. Seiwaen is absolutely marvelous. Pity it's too hot. There were a few people cosplaying there. How they could stand the weather under heaps of clothing never fails to amaze me. / This is amusing! How to tell if you're (insert nationality) Someone should do a Singaporean version. / I want to learn Ikebana. *whines* When does school start? Perhaps I still can squeeze it in before school reopens. I miss martial arts. I haven't done any for about a year. After like eight years and then poof! I'm thinking of taking up a new one. :D Kendo sounds awesome other than the fact that all their training grounds are in the far, far east, there's a selection test for beginners and A levels are next year. Oh right, the system looks err different.
Then again, there's 654321kyus so maybe up to 2 dan is not that bad after all. Somewhat like NJD no? The grading requirements are interesting! :D For Yon DanOoo~ Nobility~ A levels is ruining all my hobbies. ): Friday, December 25, 2009, 1:05 PM
Merry Christmas! :D
I love Christmas!/ Sherlock Holmes is brilliant! 5 minutes into the movie and you've got a huge crush on Holmes' utterly amazing deductive skillz. 1 hour into the movie and Hotson beats Alder/Holmes hands down. And I'm usually a het shipper. Those two are freaking adorable together! :D I think they cut out some scenes from the trailer though. / Hinokiya is awesome. I hope they come back to Singapore. Morgan Page - Longest Road (deadmau5 rmx) / Something's wrong. I'm beginning to get extremely quixotic. Utterly obsessed with fantastical sights, fanciful sounds and the extravagantly chivalrous. Capriciously bouncing from various flights of fancy with unbelievable fickleness. Impulsively looking for impractical pretty artsy-fartsy shiny things. GAH. It's like an LSD trip. Can't think. / I still want to learn Ikebana! ): Spider lilies stink after the first day. Apparently Ma cannot detect the acrid smell coming from them. MOOLAH! & when exactly does school start? PLEASE don't tell me that we are going to have Orientation AGAIN. @ sentosa some more. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 10:07 PM
Je Chante Pour Passer le Temps
*moans*1. I lost my album of icons. Bloody Photobucket transfers. 2. I don't think I'm going to have enough cash to make it to the Ikebana course before school reopens. I can't stand not having the option open. Gotta start stashing away $$$ again. 3. I have an extreme urge to cut my pretty, pretty nails. / I love Bleach Season 13! The entire season is just fantastic. / 5U 6U BBQ was hilarious. We couldn't start the fire so we gave up BBQ and went straight to I's house to cook. Where's J when you need him. B didn't show up. =.= R would be an extremely good housewife. The Honey Bunny game was super retarded. People had to stuff their faces with marshmallows and say clearly 'honey bunny' after each marshmallow. WK won. I think the record was 8 or 9. Now that's a large mouth. I was rooting for SF though. I thought she had the biggest mouth. HAHAHA! Anyway, Bridge was just plain retarded. You're not supposed to let others know who your partner is! The rest of the guys were playing Texas hold 'em and whoever lost had to chug down food. I just realised we didn't do truth or dare! D: / The movie Avatar's protagonist irritates me to a great degree. It's even worse than 9's protagonist. That guy is an utter -utter- idiot. The way he talks, work ethic, mannerisms irk me to no end. Still, Avatar's scenes were extraordinarily well shot. GOING TO WATCH SHERLOCK HOLMES TOMORROW!! :DDDD I want to watch The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Burma VJ, Peter Jackson and the Lightning Thief and the Vampire's Assistant. I live for movies and Christmas. / I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Did I say I don't want to do this? I don't want to do this. / School is starting soon~ It's the last year, so don't screw it up. WTF is wrong with parents these days: kiasu parent forum .com Monday, December 21, 2009, 8:44 PM
Ikebana
Today was spent doing up the Christmas tree with Ma. It's been terribly long since I last did the Christmas tree. I've been waiting for Christmas since the last Christmas! :DThen popped over HL's house with N. C couldn't make it. YOU MISSED OUT ON THE FUN! We were making -or rather attempted to make- Santaberries. It was a total failure as the whipped cream was melting, banging the fridge door made the entire thing fall apart and other miscellaneous mishaps. *laughs hysterically* ![]() Santaberry at the PRECISE moment it started falling. X( HL's snowman was brutally murdered. Anyway, the HP staircase game was awesome. HAHAHAHA! We've gotta do this again during Chinese New Year. I'll bring the oranges. We can replace the whip cream with ice cream and make 财神爷s instead of Santa Claus. / I want to learn Ikebana flower arrangement! It's just exquisitely beautiful in a very abstract sense. :D ![]() QW's doing her best with all the capslocky exclamations to proclaim me mad. Thanks for the encouragement. Anyway it would have been calligraphy or flower arrangement. Then again, I know a few people who would have capslocky protests against the calligraphy idea. Going back, classes are held at this really, really secluded flower shop in Balestier. (I wish I could stay in Toa Payoh again.) The lady is really nice and her flower resume is incredible. Now just have to cough/vomit/extract out the $$$. Sigh. Still, better to learn while the interest is there even if it is the 三分钟热度 kind. I mean look at the book binding hobby. For the first time in my life, my -previously- vast reserves are running out of $$$. *gaspcoughsplutter* / Tomorrow is V's Bday. I GOT SOMETHING FOR YOU! *just that's it's perishable* So call to get it. (:< (:< (: Annnd there's the BBQ for tomorrow. :D I feel like living off sushi. GAH! $$$. / In Singapore, only about one in ten of the people make it to JCs. To attend tea also need to know the number of academic units arh? O.O Sunday, December 20, 2009, 6:40 PM
Sping Cleaning
Ma got a really great bouquet today. I want to learn the ikebana style of flower arrangement! :D It's beautifully minimalistic./ It's during spring cleaning that a sudden utilitarian urge takes over and makes you want to throw everything not of practical use away. The usual drill is to throw things away first. Then later, when sentimentality takes over, regret what I've done. After which, look at empty spaces and feel happy again. :D Ma, unfortunately, keeps on taking things out of the trash. She insists that it has value to other people and can be given away. Unfortunately again, the things that had value from last years spring cleaning (aka Sec1234 HCL textbooks) are still sitting in MY room, taking up SPACE. GAH! I feel like throwing away soft toys and I know I'll regret it later. :X Maudlin sentimentality VS Ultimate utilitarianism no? Throw! Throw! Throw! Or sell to the Rag and Bone man. To think that I used to sulk all day if I accidentally dropped one of my Piyos. ): I can't wait for Spring Cleaning next year! Can totally throw away all JC/Sec stuff. *doomz* / Anyone have Je Chante Pour Passer Le Temps by Giovanni Mirabassi? I cannot live without my tech toys. |
